Infineon introduces the industry’s first intelligent alarm system with integrated AI/ML functions and sensor fusion technology

Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) has announced the launch of a battery-operated Smart Alarm System (SAS). The technology platform utilizes artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML)-based sensor fusion technology to achieve high accuracy and ultra-low power consumption. Combined with a low-power acoustic event detection scheme, this results in excellent performance. Compared with the acoustic alarm systems currently used in smart buildings and smart homes, this compact smart alarm system not only has higher detection accuracy, but also has a battery life that rivals or exceeds traditional solutions.

Laurent Remont, Vice President, IoT and Sensor Solutions, Power & Sensing Systems, Infineon Technologies, said: “We are excited to bring AI/ML capabilities to battery-powered sensor system to ensure home security. This system is both economical and practical and has a long battery life. At present, there are some shortcomings in home security solutions on the market, such as low reliability in glass breakage detection. Our new The solution deeply integrates many advanced technologies to create an intelligent, reliable and energy-saving alarm system. We look forward to bringing more innovative solutions to the home security market. display screen panel

Sharp sounds and some special audio or pressure changes etc. These changes occur when glass shatters, or when home alarms are triggered due to smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, and detection of intrusion through doors and windows.
AI/ML sensor fusion algorithms are also able to mask out many other background noises or irrelevant pressure changes to avoid false positives.
